Woodhouse Day Spa to Open in Mid-November

Spa features more than 40 different treatments.

Creating a relaxing and unique spa experience from the moment a guest walks through the door is what sets The Woodhouse Day Spa apart, explained Madhuri Reddy of Boonton, who will open a franchise of the upscale chain together with her husband, Veeren, at 420 Springfield Ave. in Summit in mid-November.

The Reddys, who own two Kumon Learning Centers, one in Parsippany and one in Randolph, were looking to expand their portfolio and decided the spa market, of particular interest to Madhuri, would present a rewarding opportunity.

"The moment you step inside, the experience starts from there," Madhuri said. "You feel welcomed. From the bathrobes to the towels to the warm teas, it is very inviting. Our signature services are unique and our products are 99 percent organic."

The Woodhouse Day Spa features more than 40 different treatments that encompass skin and body care, hand and foot care, massage therapy, specialty treatments and more. A grand opening event, planned for mid-November, will offer guests a chance to sample the spa's services and learn more about its products.

“We’re not the same as other spas,” Veeren explained. “The experience you get at Woodhouse is totally different than a salon spa or a med spa. We wanted to bring that experience to our community.”

As a way to introduce guests to its range of treatments, each month the Woodhouse Spa features a new theme that includes promotions and specials.

Madhuri said she has seen how pleased the couple's Kumon customers have been after their children leave with a greater understanding of math and she hopes to create an equally enriching experience for her spa guests.

"It's very exciting," she said. "Hectic, and a lot of work, but exciting."

The building will receive a facelift in the coming weeks and the Reddys said a date for the grand opening will be announced shortly.
