Franklin School Voters Face Election Day Changes

Signs and greeters will direct voters to modular units.

Summit residents who vote at Franklin School will be casting their ballots inside trailers on Tuesday rather than inside the school's gym.

At the request of the Franklin School principal, the County Board of Elections has approved the use of modular units for voting purposes on Election Day.

The Summit City Clerk's Office, recognizing this may be considered a slight inconvenience to voters, has asked the principal to arrange for signage directing voters to the modular units. Additionally, students will bring home flyers advising of the changes.

The Board of Elections will have greeters on hand to direct voters to the proper location and machine. Voters are asked to please note their voting district on the Sample Ballot, which will be Ward 2, District 9, 12 or 13.

School maintenance personnel will arrange the classrooms in the modular units in a way that grants easy access to voting machines.
