Pebble Players opens season with The Drowsy Chaperone on November 8

Pebble Players, in Summit,
NJ shows off the tony award winning uproarious musical comedy “The Drowsy
Chaperone” on November 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 & 17 (Friday & Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm). This hilarious musical comedy

(music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, book by Bob Martin and Don
McKellar) won 13 Tony Awards in 2006, including Best Book and Best Score. The

story begins in the shabby Manhattan apartment of a quirky, lonely gentleman who
asks the audience to listen along with him as he plays the album of his

favorite (fictional) 1928 musical comedy called “The Drowsy Chaperone.” The

show comes alive inside his apartment with characters pouring out of his

refrigerator, a fun-loving-spoof-homage of golden age musicals.

Jayne Myers, who directed Pebble Players’ sold
out shows Annie, Bye- Bye Birdie, Once Upon a Mattress,

and Legally Blonde is once again

directing.
